Trust Compliance Intern - Capital City Bank - More Than Your Bank, Your Banker.

Hours: Mon- Fri

20-29 Hours Weekly

General Summary

Trust Compliance Intern provides backup assistance to Trust department personnel which includes but is not limited to processing paperwork, recording, reviewing, and auditing data files. Provides administrative support to other areas of Trust as needed.

All associates at Capital City Bank, Capital City Investments, Capital City Trust Company, Capital City Strategic Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Audit trust files to verify the presence and completeness of required documentation.
• Help identify trends or recurring deficiencies and propose improvements to Trust documentation and file maintenance processes.
• Document findings and discrepancies clearly and accurately.
• Work with the Trust Controller and Trust Officers to resolve documentation gaps or inconsistencies.
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date records in Trust management systems.
• Provides general administrative support to the Trust Department as needed.

Associated Duties

• Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
• Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required

The following KSAs are usually acquired through work experience and/or specialized course(s):

• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Flexible approach to work
• High degree of personal integrity, discretion and an ethical & professional approach to work
• Ability to work well with all levels of associates
• Teamwork approach to work
• Ability to logically problem-solve.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare correspondence and edit work

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled college student with a focus in financial studies preferred but not required. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.

• Professional office environment.
• In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
