      The purpose of this part-time position is to join the academic team at Istituto Marangoni Dubai and contribute to teaching within the area of video editing and post-production for fashion communication and image-based projects.

      The role involves supporting students in understanding visual storytelling through motion, developing skills in video production and editing, and applying creative direction to fashion films and multimedia content. The tutor will also support the wider academic strategy by contributing to workshops, project reviews, and the development of student portfolios.

      Teaching Activities:

      Plan and deliver technical and creative sessions in video editing, aligned with the CAA standards and Istituto Marangoni’s methodology. Structure course materials and assessments to guide students in the creation of fashion-related video content. Support students in the development of video concepts, editing workflows, and final presentations. Incorporate industry tools and practices, encouraging experimentation and personal creative development. Engage in collaborative academic projects, exhibitions, and film screenings to support student work. Ensure timely course documentation and administrative compliance with institutional policies.

      Students’ Academic Support:

      Encourage students to explore fashion narratives through video and multimedia formats. Provide technical support in editing software and post-production processes. Guide students on how to build strong visual identities and storytelling frameworks. Review and give formative and summative feedback on video projects. Develop students’ fluency in audio-visual language, montage, pacing, and sound/image relationships. Create a learning environment that promotes experimentation and personal expression.

      Industry Project:

      Facilitate opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the video and fashion content industry. Support live briefs and collaborative projects with production studios, fashion brands, or digital platforms. Guide students to prepare showreels and digital portfolios that align with industry standards.

      Educational and Professional Requirements:

      • MA in Film, Video Editing, Media Production, or a related field.

      • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an international academic institution (university level).

      • UAE Ministry of Education Equivalency Certificate preferred.

      • Extensive professional experience in video editing, preferably within the fashion or luxury industry.

      • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and related editing software.

      • Ability to mentor students through creative and technical stages of video production.

      • Strong communication and organizational skills.

      • UAE residency preferred.

      • A portfolio/showreel demonstrating expertise in storytelling, editing techniques, and visual communication in fashion or art-based projects.
