What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and review oversize/overweight permit applications
- Input permit applications and required data into the TxPROS web application
- Issue oversize/overweight permits and collect fees
- Maintain records associated with permits, fees, and related documents
- Provide administrative and technical assistance to the public and agency staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited two-year college
- Two years of experience in customer service or permitting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of motor carrier regulations and laws
- Experience with the TxPROS web application
- Familiarity with oversize/overweight permit processes
- Previous experience in a government agency or related field
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
