About the role

Financial institutions in Australia are subject to a wide range of rules and regulations. Complying with regulations and demonstrating compliance to our regulators is an important part of how we keep our customers transacting safely.
Traditionally, monitoring controls has been time-intensive and manual. The compliance engineering team works on industry-first solutions to automate compliance.

We purpose built an integrated, web based platform to help manage and visualise the health of our compliance controls across ANZ Plus products and services.

We’re achieving better compliance outcomes with less manual effort!

This is a new and emerging field. We need to find radical new ways to solve old problems and thus look for keen thinkers able to create innovative solutions.

What will your day look like

Work closely with the Product Owner, Analyst, Engineers and End Users to evolve our compliance monitoring platforms for our internal users.

• Research. Conduct interviews with our users, including engineers, risk partners, senior leaders and peripheral users.
• Develop UX flows, prototypes and mock ups, to be used for demonstration and evaluation purposes
• Design web-based user interfaces that clearly show data and insights in real time, are intuitive and easy to use.
• Iterate. Keep on solving complex problems, through a test and learn approach.
• Engage stakeholders with different backgrounds and needs, whilst constantly advocating for what we do
• Contribute to our energetic, collaborative team culture, push boundaries and try new things in a candidate supportive environment.

What will you bring?

• You will spend most of your time in Figma, so experience in this is highly regarded. Our collaboration tools are Confluence, Jira, Slack.
• UI experience in internal facing, bespoke platforms and building experiences and interfaces from scratch,
• Human Centred Design approach and end to end experience designing for web based apps and / or platforms.
• You’ve worked in cross functional, agile squads including modern software engineering teams.
• Comfortable with uncertainty and changing priorities.
