Ultrasound Tech Specialist

Job Description
- Req#: 12904
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop training, new employee onboarding, standardized ultrasound competencies; i.e. standardize protocols, worksheets, durations, codes etc.
- Work with radiologists to help improve Technologist performance and adherence to protocols.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the technical staff and partner with Site Management for professional development of Ultrasound staff
- Responsible for being a knowledgeable resource for technologists; answering questions about protocols, diagnoses, equipment functionality building protocols, and how to maximize the speed and efficiency of the protocols.
- Provide quality control for performed exams as needed.
- Work with vendors or other manufacturers application teams when new equipment is installed.
- Identify inefficiencies and/or improvement opportunities in existing protocols, policies, and processes.
- Implement new protocols.
- Provide training in person and via webinar for other technologists.
- Support facilities by helping to maintain appropriate accreditation/credentialing as needed.
- Support modality specific programs including research.
- Genuinely passionate about customer service and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations
- Able to demonstrate high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multitask
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for prioritizing work with a structured approach, and enjoy providing world class customer service
- Must have current ARRT(S), ARDMS certifications.
- Must have at least 4 years’ experience as a credentialed Ultrasound Technologist.
- Must be sufficient in General, OB, Breast and Vascular studies.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- BLS (Basic Life Saving) certification required.
- Maintain license, continuing education, and experience in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agencies’ rules and regulations.
- Proven track record of working independently
- Proven track record of effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Proven track record of taking on challenging projects with little direction
- Requires excellent communication and presentation skills
- Requires excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Requires the ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, staff, and management is essential
- Adaptability, willingness to relocate, and/or travel as needed
