What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide clerical support for utilization management processes, collaborating with leadership and medical staff
- Manage chart reviews and authorizations for home health and skilled nursing facility services
- Conduct inbound and outbound calls to verify clinical information and engage with providers and members
- Document calls and maintain accurate records of clinical information received
- Create and distribute determination letters and written correspondence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with strong data entry skills
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization in a managed care organization
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 codes
- Previous experience in member service or customer service roles
- Background in skilled nursing facilities or home health care
