      Undergraduate Graduation Services, Senior Specialist

      Department:

      Fisher College | Undergraduate Administration

      As an internal expert on Fisher academic program requirements, oversees and manages Fisher academic records and graduation requirements for Fisher 10,000+ undergraduate students, including: degree certification process for undergraduate business students, student record audits for completion of degree requirements, communications related to graduation applications and requirements, and monitoring academic records activity workflow between Undergraduate Programs (UGP) staff. Maintains and continually builds upon expertise in Fisher academic program requirements, including BSBA specializations and Fisher minors. Ensures complete and accurate auditing of student records. Prepare reports for Undergraduate Programs and College leadership. Partners with multiple university departments, including the Registrar and Special Events offices, regarding commencement records and activities. Reviews and approves graduation applications and communicates with students regarding their status. Works with 26+ Fisher academic advisors to resolve issues related to degree requirement completion, including petitions. Independently make decisions regarding degree requirements within tight deadlines. Collaborates with Fisher academic departments to ensure timely posting of final grades at the conclusion of each academic term. Serves as Fisher expert on Buckeye Degree Planner (BDP) Stellic system, oversees degree exceptions and ensures exception data accuracy; trains staff on BDP and system updates. Collaborates with other colleges on benchmarking data, understanding best practices for records and commencement activities, and process implementation.

      Supports Fisher scholarships program as part of the Undergraduate Programs retention and graduation rate strategy, including assisting with scholarship checks for graduating students and scholarship application processes. Creates and implements efficient and effective processes for records management, degree audit review, and degree certification. Serves on university level committees, work groups, and other ad hoc responsibilities as Fisher representative. Manages commencement communications, updates, and processes forUGP, Fisher faculty and staff, and Fisher academic departments, as needed.

      Required Qualifications
      Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 years’ working in higher education setting. Experience managing and overseeing student programs and events. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Demonstrated public speaking skills. Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and external organizations; ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work independently and to delegate. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold confidentiality.

      Desired Qualifications

      Master’s Degree. 8-12 years’ experience in higher education setting or equivalent experience. Broad knowledge of university policies and procedures. Detailed knowledge of Fisher policies and business degree requirements, including thorough knowledge of General Education requirements, major courses and course sequencing. Able to perform basic and advanced transactions in student records systems, including Peoplesoft (SIS) and Stellic (Buckeye Degree Planner).

      Additional Information:

      The target hiring range for this job profile is $64,300 - $84,550. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
