What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and fabricate material samples according to project requirements
- Assist in collecting experimental data using various techniques and instruments
- Conduct analyses such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing to characterize materials
- Process and analyze experimental results, drawing meaningful conclusions
- Collaborate with graduate students to compile research findings into comprehensive reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program (Material Science and Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental protocols
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to ongoing research projects
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with laboratory research or coursework related to materials science or engineering
- Knowledge of data analysis software or techniques
- Previous involvement in engineering projects or research initiatives
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in topics related to nuclear engineering and hypersonic vehicles
