      Key Responsibilities:

      • Supervise and lead underground construction crews installing fiber optic and copper communication lines.
      • Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
      • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and utility maps.
      • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
      • Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as trenchers, plows, and directional drills.
      • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and utility companies for proper permitting and right-of-way access.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to underground infrastructure, including conduit placement and cable splicing.
      • Train and mentor crew members, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
      • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and crew hours.

      Qualifications:

      • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in underground telecommunications or utility construction, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
      • Technical Skills: Proficiency in underground construction techniques, including trenching, boring, and fiber optic installation.
      • Certifications: OSHA 10/30, CDL (preferred), or other relevant certifications.
      • Knowledge: Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations for underground utility work.
      • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and operate equipment.
      • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
