Job Description
- Req#: 81719
- Gather and assess risk information to determine eligibility on risk for all general insurance
- Assist in development of new programs and maintain current programs
- Communicate with clients regarding new policy issuance, changes, renewals and cancellations
- Advise, interpret, and validate coverage based on policy terms
- Issue policy changes, renewals, and cancellations
- Support internal departments and branches with policy interpretation and technical advice
- General Insurance Level 2 License required, CIP, or CAIB preferred
- 1 year with Underwriting experience an asset
- Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal
- Adept in retrieving customer data efficiently
- Involvement in industry related associations and your community

Personal Lines Underwriter - Remote Eligible
In this role you will support Western's Customer Service Representatives by liaising with insurance specialists for accurate risk assessment, mitigation, and acceptance for new policies. You will be accountable for collaborating with your team members to maintain service standards and improve procedures for the various insurance products we sell.

Salary Range: $51,000 - $91,000
