      About the role

      We’re looking for an Underwriter Assistant, Specialty Solutions to join our growing team!

      What you’ll do here:

      • Process insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations and new business

      • Prepare new business for input into our systems

      • Responsible for data integrity of policies and assists Underwriter with data quality.

      • Provide legendary customer service to brokers, by responding to their requests and inquiries regarding changes to policies, through written and verbal correspondence.

      • Support Underwriters with their service requests.

      • Build relationships and networks to support your professional growth and success.

      • Innovate through your contributions to improve efficiency.

      • Identifies and assigns incoming inquiries to appropriate individuals.

      • Other administrative duties and tasks as required.


      What you bring to the table:

      • Post secondary education or relevant office experience is preferred

      • Insurance experience preferred

      • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment

      • Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision

      • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills

      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

      • Proficient data entry skills and strong attention to details

      • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

      • Computer proficiency and the ability to navigate through multiple systems

      • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada

      Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

      $44,200.00 - $66,400.00
