      AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals.       • Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial Financial Lines insurance products in addition to generating new accounts from brokers within Western Canada
      • Evaluate and underwrite management liability risks by conducting detailed analysis of financial statements, industry trends, portfolio benchmarking and other relevant data to assess exposure
      • Review, negotiate and issue policies that comply with regulatory and company standards. Draft and amend coverage to meet the needs of our clients
      • Monitor market trends, new developments and competitor offerings in management liability
      • Achieve assigned budget targets and maintain profitability
      • Collaborate with team members to share insights, improve underwriting processes, and achieve team objectives

      What you’ll need to succeed

      • A post-secondary degree, ideally in business with a focus on finance or accounting, or a combination of relevant industry education and experience
      • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners
      • Proven ability to work independently, managing tasks and meeting deadlines while also contributing effectively within a team environment
      • Strong skills in analyzing data, assessing risks, and making informed decisions
      • Solid understanding of computer systems and applications, particularly in using spreadsheets and other data management tools
      • Previous experience in Financial Lines underwriting is an asset but not mandatory - enthusiasm for learning is key
