  About the role

  We’re looking for Underwriting Assistants, to join our growing System Conversion Team!

  As an Underwriting Assistant, Personal Lines System Conversion, you will be responsible for supporting the underwriting function by processing home and auto personal insurance transactions with numerous data entry duties. You may also have the opportunity to work on key company initiatives and projects as it relates to system conversion. This is hybrid, 9-month term opportunity and requires a minimum of 2 days a week in the office. However, during the first 2 months of training, you'll be expected to come to the office 5 days a week.

  • Start date: April 22, 2024

  • End of contract date: January 24, 2025

  What you'll do here:

  • Process different types of system transactions within the established authority level i.e. data modification via rewrite transactions.

  • Input data on the policy management system and gather information using various computer-based software programs.

  • Support the Corporate Underwriting teams on various assignments that may include: systems testing, performing specialized system functions, tracking and reporting of data and other tasks as required.

  • Maintain accountability and quality standards on tasks assigned

  • Support Conversion activities post and pre as allocated.

  • Perform other support / admin tasks as assigned.

  
  What you bring to the table:

  • Proficiency in data entry and strong attention to detail.

  • Bilingualism written and spoken, in French and English, preferred.

  • Highly organized and driven to manage workflow efficiently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Adaptable to constant change and a reliable team player.

  • Strong typing skills and ability to work on multiple systems simultaneously.

  • Interest in pursuing Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP).

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
