What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide customer service and administrative support to the Underwriting department
- Gather data from various sources for new and renewal business to assist the underwriting process
- Maintain file accuracy and completeness while entering information into appropriate systems
- Research and resolve errors and issues related to premium/billing discrepancies
- Act as a liaison with other departments and facilitate interdepartmental communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience as an underwriting assistant or internship with an insurance carrier or agency preferred
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation or Property & Casualty lines preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers
