      • Support our Procurement Services team as a Unibuy Desk Consultant during an exciting time of striving to achieve a high performance, contemporary and seamless service delivery in line with the university’s ambitious strategic plan
      • Seeking your highly developed customer service, procurement and transactional support skills to support the uplift of service delivery
      • Full time continuing position offering a base salary of $83,384+ 17% superannuation

      About the opportunity

      We are in a period of exciting change and development within our Procurement Services team, striving to achieve a high performance, contemporary and seamless service delivery in line with the university’s ambitious strategic plan. Key components of the procurement model are UniBuy (SAP Ariba), an online system as the primary means of buying goods and services, and the Buying Desk to provide buying and accounts payable support across the University. UniBuy manages the entire enterprise-wide procurement lifecycle and improves the University’s spend visibility and compliance, with savings channelled towards the University’s core mission of education and research.

      As the first point of contact, the UniBuy Desk Consultant provides exceptional customer service, transactional support and advice in response to UniBuy Desk related enquiries from University of Sydney staff and students lodged through multiple channels. In this role, you will utilise your in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of university policy to provide relevant guidance and fit-for-purpose solutions across a range of services in a professional and customer focused manner.

      Your key responsibilities will be to:

      • working collaboratively with the shared service centre staff members and management, as well as other groups, cohorts and stakeholders across the university
      • respond to customer enquiries, questions, requests and processing tasks lodged through multiple channels
      • identify, nominate and participate in any continual improvement opportunities across processes, products, services and technologies
      • assess customer -raised tickets and enquiries to determine whether escalation to another team is required
      • use the shared service ticket management platform to raise tickets for all customer enquiries
      • resolve transactions, using both knowledge base articles and other reference materials

      About you

      • working experience in a similar procurement function delivering high quality customer service, Finance, Procurement and system transactional support and procurement of Goods and Services
      • capability using various online systems, (SAP Ariba and Peoplesoft an advantage) or other Finance systems
      • ability to deliver training and coaching via media platforms of in person
      • highly developed customer service skills and communication skills with professional phone manner
      • effective use of judgment and discretion in prioritising workflow and escalating where necessary
      • flexibility in their organisation and planning skills in order to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment
      • an agile and flexible approach that is able to pivot and contribute to overall team success.

      Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
