- Design and implement training programs and materials
- Develop and maintain systems for department leads to track and document training activities, including attendance, completion rates, and feedback
- Work with department leads to ensure training compliance and implement course corrections as needed
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, data analytics, and performance metrics
- Proactively identify training gaps and needs
- Create training performance measures and communicate training initiatives and outcomes to UCT leadership.
- Bring forward new and/or updated training policy recommendations.
- Contribute to the culture of accountability, transparency and continues improvement withing the training function
- When needed, coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and other learning activities, including contractors.
- Pull reports as needed for auditing purposes related to MDAR compliance and support CAO with any information needed for associated City investigations
- Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of people
- Experience in designing and implementing adult training courses that have multiple learning styles incorporated
- Ability to translate technical training to individuals with varying capabilities
- Ability to problem-solve and trouble shoot technical issues independently

The City of Seattle is seeking a Senior Training and Education Coordinator to support the City’s ongoing homelessness response efforts. The Senior Training and Education Coordinator will serve on the Unified Care Team (UCT), a key mayoral initiative that brings together more than a dozen city departments and partners for a coordinated, strategic, and data-driven approach to ensuring Seattle’s public spaces, sidewalks, and streets remain open and accessible to all.
This role supports UCT operational efficiencies with continuous improvement, staff safety and well-being through training that is needed to complete the mission of ensuing open and accessible public spaces. This includes but is not limited to training schedules, training requirements, cross departmental coordination, and tracking of completed trainings needed for homelessness response to ensure departments follow the Unified Care Team’s policy and process, including the City’s Multi Department Administrative Rules (MDAR)/ FAS- 017.
Success in this role requires a highly level of organization, detail oriented, a team attitude, capacity to meet tight timelines, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced city-government. The trainer will need to come with a demonstrated commitment to leading with racial equity and understand the complexity of issues that impact public spaces, including homelessness.
This position reports directly to the UCT Program Manager and will work jointly with the Mayor's Office and Parks Department. Time will be spent both at City Hall and at SPR's HQ located at 100 Dexter Ave N, as well as locations across the city as needed.

The full salary range for this position is $43.97 - $51.22 Hourly.
