      Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Unified Communication Systems Admin to work on-site from our Oyster Point building, located in Newport News, VA.

      Job Summary:

      The UC Admin is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and day-to-day management and support of the company’s unified communication systems. They will work with end-users and management to optimize call flows and functionality and troubleshoot/correct any phone system issues. The admin will serve in a technical role and interact with other IT resources, internal business associates, external clients, and various vendors.

      Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

      • Analyze business requirements, provide time estimates, create, and modify Call Flow Diagrams, preparation of design documents, system development, and production handover.
      • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house or outsourced voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
      • Coordinate with GeneSys, internal technical teams, and other staff as necessary to gain assistance and resolve problems with the platform and associated applications.
      • Collaborate with systems administrators for upgrades to operating systems, hardware, etc.
      • Working knowledge of Contact Center Technologies (IVR, CTI, WFM, Call Routing etc.)
      • Integrate IP telephony systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs, and other Internet-based services and protocols.
      • Work with internal teams to define the business requirements and prioritize improvements.
      • Collaborate with help desk to resolve trouble tickets and mitigate end-user issues with VoIP hardware and/or applications.
      • Assist with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all voice related server hardware, software, and communication links and circuits.
      • Assist with the installation planning and maintenance of network cabling, in data center and branch communications closets.
      • Perform audits as necessary.
      • Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems.
      • Collaborate with network engineers or administrators to ensure that VoIP traffic does not interfere with or hinder network data traffic.
      • Conduct testing and develop disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and back up all telephony systems.
      • As required, will serve as a member of project teams for implementation of solutions consistent with Information Technology and Business Unit strategies and plans.
      • Diagnose faulty system/telephone hardware. Perform other duties assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related area with at least 2-years of experience, or at least 4-years of experience with no degree, working in a medium to large enterprise infrastructure environment required.
      • Genesys Certified Professional certification desired but not required.
