- Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree program and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship
- Strong programming skills and experience with Python, Java, YAML, JSON, HTML/CSS/JS
- Experience with Git, Virtualization (Docker, VMware, VirtualBox), Cloud Computing
- Familiarity with Software Development and Agile practices
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of DevSecOps
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Familiar with Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning
- Knowledge Digital Engineering

At MITRE, we are seeking students with sustained academic excellence who are curious, constant learners and have a demonstrated interest in serving the public. Currently, we are hiring for Summer 2024 internship opportunities to work with Unified Platform (UP) and Joint Cyber Command & Control (JCC2) projects.
UP is the single unifying cloud-based infrastructure connecting unique cyber capabilities within the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA) to enable full-spectrum cyberspace operations. Operators across all services can access, search, and exploit data through UP. Other programs in combination of JCWA and UP, synchronize development activities, mitigate interoperability risks, and ensure delivery of integrated solutions to best meet warfighter needs.
JCC2 is the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA) component responsible for presenting Situational Awareness (SA) and Battlespace Management (BM) information. JCC2 provides an integrated set of cyberspace command and control capabilities to joint cyber warfighters and the Cyber Mission Force (CMF). Other programs in combination of JCWA and JCC2, synchronize development activities, mitigate interoperability risks, and ensure delivery of integrated solutions to best meet warfighter needs.
As an intern working in software engineering or computer science, you will work with a team to apply your knowledge and gain experience with software development capabilities from prototyping, through architecture and modeling, to software assessments.
