      The Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative, and Hospital Medicine is pleased to announce our search for a Unit Administrator to oversee clinical and administrative business operations for four Sections of Medicine within the Division. This position will report to the Division Administrator with an indirect reporting relationship to the Associate Division Administrator. With eight direct reports, this position is responsible for the management and coordination of various business-related functions.

      The successful candidate will:

      CLINICAL

      • Identify clinical issues and make recommendations on associated actions.

      • Oversee management of the Section’s Physician Scheduling software system.

      • Coordinate implementation of clinical process change.

      • Monitor for progress toward achievement of clinical benchmarks.

      • Review billing and reimbursement trends to ensure maximization of billable activities.

      • Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.

      ADMINISTRATIVE

      • Foster successful delivery of services to meet internal and external customer needs.

      • Oversee implementation of defined strategic endeavors.

      • Coordinate the compilation and preparation of operational reports.

      • Participate in new program development.

      • Oversee management of space, equipment, and IT needs.

      PERSONNEL

      • Ensure administrative support activities are appropriately delegated and proactively managed.

      • Actively engage in team member professional development and performance management. Oversee timely onboarding of new faculty and staff.

      • Monitor and approve all staff leave and time cards.

      FINANCE

      • Participate in the development of the annual budget.

      • Implement strategies intended to strengthen financial position.

      Minimum Requirements:

      EDUCATION
      A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required.

      EXPERIENCE
      Four years of increasingly responsible management and administrative responsibility within healthcare as well as a minimum of two years of supervisory experience are required. Priority will be given to candidates with EPIC, WorkDay, and QGenda experience.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS
      This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
