- Serve as the hub of communication for the unit—connecting patients, families, and staff with clarity and care.
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure timely and compassionate transitions.
- Keep patient records and unit logs accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and team meetings with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Answer phones professionally and relay messages promptly to keep the team connected.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of unit supplies and equipment.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and other key administrative functions.
- Collaborate daily with nursing and medical staff to keep unit operations running smoothly.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Provide dependable support to the unit manager or charge nurse.
- Step in as needed—your flexibility and teamwork help the unit thrive.

What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications
· Education
o High school graduate required.
o Secretarial or business coursework preferred.
o Medical terminology coursework preferred.
· Experience
o Previous secretarial experience with demonstrated computer and word processing skills required.
o Previous Meditech experience preferred.
· Licensure and/or Certification
