      As a Universal Banker - Float at Legacy Bank, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, offering a full range of banking services and financial solutions across multiple locations. This role combines both teller and personal banking responsibilities, requiring a strong commitment to customer service and a thorough understanding of our products. In this position, you will educate our customers about the various ways to bank with Legacy Bank and refer the appropriate products and services, matching the customer's needs.

      The Universal Banker is the first impression of Customer Service at Legacy Bank with the overall purpose of providing quality and efficiency to customers who prefer face-to-face interaction. This position will demonstrate outstanding customer service and a thorough understanding of all products and services that will provide a valuable and long lasting banking relationship. They will be required to be knowledgeable in all new account processes while understanding bank regulations required to be compliant. This position will educate customers about delivery options and refer the appropriate products and services matching the customer needs. They will also be responsible for providing personalized banking services to the financial institution customer by performing the following duties.

      Responsibilities

      • Prepare, comply, and assist customers with opening/closing all types of accounts including personal accounts, IRAs, CDs, HSAs and business accounts. Assists customers with wire transfer requests, ordering checks, debit cards, customer information updates, stop payments, account ownership changes, endorsement questions, safe deposit boxes, possible fraud/forgery situations and various other maintenance items.
      • Develop a good understanding of the bank products/services and the customer’s current relationship. Offer information on bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance their banking relationship. Evaluate needs of the potential and current customers and offers appropriate guidance on financial products and services.
      • Responsible for ensuring all new account compliance documents are obtained while opening a new relationship and/or a new account. Including but not limited to CIP, CDD, OFAC, Beneficial Ownership and any other items needed to meet regulatory requirements.
      • Process financial transactions for checking, savings and borrowing customers receives funds, posts transactions and pays out funds as requested. Verbally confirm intended transactions with customer to assure needs are met and minimize errors.
      • Balance cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions. Appropriately applying policies.
      • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products.
      • Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications.
      • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and all security policies and procedures.

      • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
      • 1-2 years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
      • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
      • Ability and willingness to work in different Legacy Bank branch locations on a rotating open/close schedule and a rotating Saturday schedule.
