About Parkside
We are a public Montessori school serving Pre-K to 8th grade. Our goal is to achieve accreditation by the American Montessori Society while ensuring academic proficiency through Montessori instruction aligned with Common Core Standards. We collaborate with the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector (NCMPS) for professional development and to uphold their Essential Elements. All Parkside teachers are Montessori trained or enrolled in MACTE-approved training. Our on-site Montessori coach supports staff development. In addition to a Bachelor's degree, applicants must have a California Teaching Credential (or equivalent) or be actively enrolled in a program to obtain one.
