      Who are we looking for?

      Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Upscale Brand Marketing Manager in the Upscale Marketing Division. The Upscale Brand Marketing Team supports Choice Hotel’s eight upscale brands, Cambria Hotels, Radisson Blu, Radisson Hotels, Radisson RED, Ascend Hotel Collection, Radisson Collection, Radisson Individuals and Park Plaza by Radisson, with the implementation of their brand marketing and communications plan. As a key member of our brand marketing team, you will help implement the go to market communications and brand marketing strategy, including digital media plan, creative development, social media management, and promotions for the brands.

      Your Responsibilities

      • Represents and upholds the Choice Hotel’s eight upscale brands and guidelines in a variety of internal and external circumstances including, but not limited to, hotel GM and DOS, Upscale Brand Team, vendors, collateral, on-property executions, Internal CH teams, etc.
      • Work with agency and Choice creative team to develop brand-specific resources, property logos, photography, and assets.
      • Assist Marketing Director in creating digital marketing strategies and creative assets.
      • Support the upscale portfolio’s social strategy and implementation on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok.
      • Develop brand-specific content calendars for B2C and B2B messaging on LinkedIn.
      • Support the Upscale Brand Team with all creative assets, media strategy, and implementation.
      • Work cross-functionally to develop a promotional calendar that drives portfolio performance and topline revenue.
      • Support hotels as the brand marketing subject-matter expert to recommend tactics and strategies that drive property performance.
      • Assist Marketing Director and work with the Public Relations team, including overseeing in-market events and brand activations.
      • Work with area directors as needed on property-specific requests.
      • Manage monthly invoicing, including communications with partners and accounting team.
      • Manage campaign budgets, ongoing investments, and optimization.
      • Responsible for managing new hotel photo shoots.
      • Present on monthly upscale stakeholder brand calls.
      • Helps to oversee agency partners, keeping them accountable to deadlines and aligning to brand strategies.

      Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

      • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Advertising or Communications, or a relevant field of study required, or a combination of equivalent education and/or work experience.
      • Minimum of 3 years of online marketing experience required, previous experience with a major hospitality brand preferred but not required.
      • Experience with paid and organic digital media strategy, including creative development, SEM, social, programmatic, and email marketing.
      • Experience with managing campaign budgets, ongoing investments, and optimization.
      • Data driven and can evaluate performance based on KPIs, monitor performance, and suggest optimizations.
      • Understanding of a brand voice to develop and execute effective messaging and content relevant to campaign goals.
      • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to think strategically yet organize the details, take ownership/accountability, work in a team-centric and cross-functional environment, multitask and have exceptional client service skills.
      • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and an understanding of integrated marketing communication, including both traditional and new media.
      • Must have strong presentation, leadership and influencing skills.
      • Requires public speaking experience in a variety of situations.
      • Must be able to professionally lead and manage successful internal and external relationships.
      • Attention to detail and accuracy – including proofreading and grammar, as well as working knowledge of key software (including email, Internet, Excel, Work and PowerPoint) required.
      • Ability to travel, up to 10%.

      This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Upscale Brand Marketing. You will collaborate across the Upscale Brand and Marketing organizations and with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

      As our Upscale Brand Marketing Manager, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

      Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
