Title: Business Intelligence Analyst – Temp Associate
Reports to: Business Intelligence Manager
Overview: As Business Intelligence Analyst – Temp Associate, you will be a key member of the URBN BI team within the Merchandising, Sourcing and Supply Chain Systems space. The role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager. The associate will collaborate with business partners to understand business requirements relative to business processes, guide business partners through solutions design and translate requirements into actionable IT deliverables for key partners in the Anthropologie Group, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Nuuly brands, as well as our partners in the Shared Services department.
Responsibilities:
· Developing and managing analytics solutions that support better decision making and turn data into actionable insights.
· Identifying development needs to improve and streamline operations, identifying opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions.
· Documenting business requirements and functional specifications, business and system use cases, creating and executing comprehensive test plans, and working with business users to document user operating instructions.
· Communicate and coordinate project activities with business, technical and IT partners.
· Triage complex issues, analyze options, explain the impact and partner with internal teams to work towards the best solution to the problem.
· Support other department projects and initiatives as assigned.
Job Skills:
· Knowledge of SQL, databases and data models.
· Experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense, MicroStrategy.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed.
· Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands.
Education
· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in areas like Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Management Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, Supply Chain.
