Max rate is $55/hr on c2c or $48/hr on w2.
Role Description
• Perform Level 2 and 3 support following client established methods and defined SLA.
• Respond promptly to production outages, customer’s queries and problems by conducting Root Cause Analysis, investigating data and symptoms, breakdown issues.
• Work with application support teams and customers to implement business initiatives.
• Perform application validations for implementation of system changes after hours or on weekends as appropriate.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Tests• Build and maintain the System and Process documents as part of knowledge management
• Troubleshoot problems to minimize interruptions to the customers critical business activities and proactively identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks.• Work with offshore team on project needs and ensure the delivery of projects on time.• Review and obtain approval on the design & code with Customer on small enhancements in the application• Effectively communicate technical information to peers and management and can provide training as needed.
• Adheres to company policy with regard to security, change management, and other established controls in the IT environment.
Competencies
Mainframe DB2 - Application Development, System Z - CICS, System Z - Enterprise COBOL, System Z - JCL
Essential Skills • Experience with COBOL, JCL and CICS is desired.• Experience with DB2 Database• SDLC real-time experience desired• Exposure to ITIL process and ServiceNow• Application production support experience is added advantage• Strong Communication Skills and ability to work within a distributed team• Offshore co-ordination experience is nice to have
Desirable Skills • Experience with COBOL, JCL and CICS is desired.• Experience with DB2 Database• SDLC real-time experience desired• Exposure to ITIL process and ServiceNow• Application production support experience is added advantage• Strong Communication Skills and ability to work within a distributed team• Offshore co-ordination experience is nice to have
