Tableau Server Administrator – Contractor Role

Proven professional with experience in managing Tableau Servers and automating common processes. Experience with performance issues, governance, management, usage and security. In mid-2018 this role will play a key role in the migration from AWS to GCS.

40 hours per week. Priorities are discussed weekly. Resource works PST time zone with at least 50% on site.

Duties

• Manage Desktop Licenses.
• Manage Tableau Groups.
• Monitor usage. Remove stale data and dashboards.
• Predict server issues including performance proactively.
• Upgrade Server software while maintaining high availability.
• Monitor and enforce policies for access.
• Backup and Recover Tableau Server and other EC2s.
• Document policies and administrative processes.
• Provide Tableau Server Logs for Analysis.
• Own the Tableau Usage Dashboards. Develop as required for the Analytics Team.
• Automate common tasks with Tableau Server scripts.
• Work with Google to migrate from AWS to GCS.
• Manage Server addons including R.
