      This position will be responsible for production on their designated machines as well as maintaining machine runtime and performing required mechanical repairs. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

      Job Position Title: US Grind Operator

      Function: Operations

      Location: Columbus West

      Job Group/Grade: JG1, H09

      Scheduled: 3rd Shift - Midnight to 8:00 AM CT

      PCP Level: 3

      Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment.

      • Requires the use of 10x microscopes, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges.

      • Enter SAP data entries, when necessary.

      • Perform line clearances and changeovers, adjust overall and point length, reset lid and base cycles, replace flippers grippers, grippers, blue sponge, magnet, and O-rings.

      • Help maintain inventory of spare parts and prepare for upcoming work on the lines.

      • Troubleshoot machines and help identify methods to increase efficiency of the lines.

      • Ensuring the quality of all product produced.

      • Performing quality checks as designated

      • Ensure assigned equipment is maintained and in working order Processing SAP and MES transactions for department.

      • Assisting in the BDA process to identify root causes.

      • Perform duties in accordance with GMP principles.

      • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

      Education:

      • High School diploma/GED preferred

      • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, five years manufacturing experience is required

      Experience:

      • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere – Proficient

      • Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient

      • Teamwork – Proficient

      • Organization skills, detailed oriented – Basic
