      Job Description: Laboratory Systems Technical Support Specialist

      Job Summary: To ensure smooth and timely operations of all digitalized and computerized systems in the scope of Small Molecules – US and to continuously improve current operating model of the organization with strong technical acumen.

      Reports to: Digital Ops Lead – US
      Hours – 40 hours per week over 5 days. Primary working hours (10am-3pm)

      Main Responsibilities
      • Ensure effective and continuous operations of centralized CDS system Chromeleon (Chromatographic database system). Including on-instrument troubleshooting, device configuration, and user management of the enterprise application
      o New commissioning of lab instruments within instrument network
      o New installation of the Chromeleon application
      o Modification of existing assets, users, rights, and permissions
      • To enable the continuous improvement of the R&D digital space by assisting in local connectivity and DNS configuration of devices in the laboratory network space.
      o Configuration and re-configuration of legacy devices to enable scientific operations in the lab
      o Assist in the installation and configuration of hardware and software as needed.
      • To assist and enable laboratory automation with hands on programming of automatic scaffolds to support business goals and directions.
      • Report to digital op lead any significant events relating to lab system operations.
      • Ensure timely and effective support to all requests generated in scope of SMol-US lab personnel.
      Experience and Skills
      • Knowledge and experience in Desktop Support & Basic network administration
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including 365
      • Knowledge of and use of Active Directory objects.
      • Proficient in mobile technology e.g., IOS and Android devices.
      • Proficient in computer security processes and applications.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
      • Knowledge and working experience of .NET, C##, Java, Python, and/or R
      • Knowledge and/or willingness to learn about laboratory automation.

      Education
      • B.Sc or B.A. in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, or Engineering
