      Position Summary...

      Do you love designing and implementing data pipelines? Are you super detailed and enjoy automating complex processes into elegant solutions?

      The Creative Data Strategy and Reporting team is responsible for defining and bringing to life a data strategy that collects and analyzes a variety of data about the work of the Walmart Creative Studio, lending to dynamic and actionable insights into the Walmart Creative Studio success story. The Creative Data Engineer will play a crucial role in this strategy by implementing data pipelines that minimize manual input and maximize output, resulting in data that allows for deep analysis and provides actionable insights to drive data-based decision making in the Walmart Creative Studio.



      In this role you will be driving the Creative Data and Reporting Strategy by providing creative and automated solutions to collect data from various sources, transform the data, and store the data. You will work cross-functionally to build a more automated reporting system, provide key insights and dashboards to creative leaders, and help our businesses optimize their creative campaigns to drive traffic, optimize ways of working to increase efficiencies and reduce waste, and improve planning to maximize resources. The ideal candidate will have strong data pipeline expertise, data transformation skills, data warehousing and data modeling knowledge, attention to detail, ability to manage and shift priorities as needed, and predictive problem-solving skills.

      What you'll do...

      • Design and implement optimized and automated data pipelines that extract, transform, store, and deliver creative data.

      • Build expertise and ownership of data quality for WCS Creative data, supporting and driving data privacy and governance.

      • Define and communicate tools-based business requirements for data collection with internal and external cross-functional partners.

      • Supports the Creative Data Strategy by providing a clear point of view and potential solutions, lending to a wholistic approach and elimination of data silos and excess manual waste.

      • Contribute to data initiatives through close cross-functional collaboration, championing our data strategy with thoughtfully constructed and technologically feasible solutions.

      • Use multiple data sources to build and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and contribute to ad hoc deep dives as required, to support key business processes and collaborate with stakeholders in exploring new growth opportunities.

      • Evaluate industry trends, market conditions, and conduct competitive analysis to analyze benchmarks and identify new opportunities.

      • Present analysis and strategy recommendations to creative leadership on a regular basis.

      • The top candidate will be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and have strong data and reporting skills.

      Qualifications:

      • Education: Bachelors

      • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in data & analytics, ideally within a marketing organization.

      • Experience designing and implementing data pipelines to serve data strategy goals.

      • Experience in data architecture, transformation, & data warehousing.

      • Experience with dashboard development i.e tableau.

      • Ability to explain complex technical processes to less technically minded individuals.

      • The right candidate will also have experience with the following tools/programs:

      • Query languages: SLQ, SAS, etc.

      • Scripting Languages: Python, Java, etc

      • Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, etc.

      • Experience with Adobe Analytics and other analytics tools

      • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

      The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

      Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
