      USAF Logistics Subject Matter Expert

      Overview:

      As a USAF Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be an integral member of multidisciplinary Agile data science teams supporting US national security missions. You will apply your knowledge of the USAF and USAF logistics, including policies, processes, and domain information, to help solve USAF operational challenges. This is a Full-Time position with potential work locations across the United States, abroad, and remote.

      Job Responsibilities:

      · Work collaboratively in fast-paced, Agile, mixed team environment with software developers, data scientists, data engineers, interface designers, and geospatial experts to solve a broad array of data science and analytics challenges

      · Help team members understand the USAF environment and culture and review team products

      · Facilitate team interactions with USAF personnel, including coordinating meetings

      · Translate USAF user requirements for input into system specifications, data management plans, configuration management plans, life cycle management documentation, integrated logistics support plans and related operational summaries

      · Provide input to specification and/or user documentation for client or user personnel

      · Conduct enterprise-wide strategic systems planning, business information planning, and business analysis

      · Provide input into functional, process, and data modeling in support of planning and analysis efforts

      · Examine and analyze current and contemplated operations for developing, defining, and coordinating user requirements to satisfy the total program need

      · Assess data design, proposed system revisions, and test results to ensure functional requirements are met

      · Research, analyze, and provide system functional specific data to assist the US Air Force

      Required Skills:

      · Indepth knowledge and experience with USAF logistics and operations

      · An analytic, problem-solving mindset

      · Ability to have productive discussions on topics relating to information systems and data analysis

      · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      · Ability to work independently and collaboratively

      · Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for program innovation and growth

      Additional Desirable Skills:

      As part of a multidisciplinary, cutting-edge team, any of the following optional experience is also viewed favorably:

      · Knowledge of USAF logistics information systems, such as CSWS DE, MP&E, IMCS, RMS, CAV AF, PRPS, REMIS, WSMIS, AFEMS, SCS to include FIABS, DMSI, DMLS, ETIMS, and TMSS

      · Agile Scrum experience

      Education:

      Bachelor’s Degree required plus 5 years of US Air Force logistical experience. In lieu of a degree, candidate may substitute an additional four years of related experience.

      Clearance Requirements:

      You do not need a current/active clearance to apply, but must be able to pass and hold a government Public Trust (SF-85) background investigation. You must either be a US Citizenship or Green Card Holder to be eligible.
