      We’re building a world-class team of UX and UI Designers, User Researchers, Prototypers, and Design Technologists that will take OCI UX Design to the next level. Help create a design-led culture that puts users and their needs at the center of our product development process. We are seeking a talented Principal UX designer to join our growing team. You are the ideal candidate if you are passionate, self-motivated, able to multitask effectively, and have strong communication skills. This individual will operate autonomously and partner with executive stakeholders to manage a wide range of high-impact design initiatives across the Oracle Cloud console.

      US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

      Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
      Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with product managers, developers, leadership and subject matter experts to understand user needs, problems, and goals across diverse use cases.
      • Experience in setting up design system by defining design principles, creating component library, documenting usability guidance, and gaining buy-in from the cross functional teams
      • Lead the design process across multiple projects, while also coordinating the effort with other designers.
      • Communicate the user experience throughout the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, and high-fidelity prototypes.
      • Facilitate and be an advocate for the design process across product, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
      • Advocate for a user-centered culture by involving the team in feedback from customers, sharing insights, and creating empathy.
      • Produce documentation and processes to ensure a holistic, strategic, detailed approach to design across the organization.
      • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented and reflect design intent.
      • Contribute to our central design governance program to ensure a high bar of quality across the Oracle Cloud platform.
      • Ensure the delivery of a consistent user experience across the product.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • 8+ years professional experience in UX Design or related field
      • Bachelors degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related fields or equivalent experience
      • Experience designing exterprise products
      • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe, or similar
      • A portfolio demonstrating experience in product design and end-to-end user journeys
      • Familiarity with following and maintaining design systems
      • Ability to work independently and solicit feedback from the design team and other stakeholders
      • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying timelines, degrees of complexity, and scope
      • Ability to provide solutions that enhance the entire user flow, not just features
      • Ability to create, drive and evangelize cross-team processes and achieve org-wide impact.
      • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
      • Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment
      • Highly organized and detail-oriented
      • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
      • Your application must include links to an online portfolio or have an offline version attached.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Understanding of development tools including APIs, IDEs, and Git
      • Experience or understanding of cloud concepts and technologies
      • Experience shipping cloud applications
      • Experience leading cross-functional discussions and design reviews
      • Experience vetting and producing design patterns
      • Experience governing design across a large platform
      • Working familiarity with scrum/agile processes
      • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools
      • Experience conducting user studies, analyzing, presenting, and creating actionable changes to the UI to improve the user experience
