      Responsibilities

      Under the direction of IST Management, maintains and supports the University Hospital LAN/WAN environment. Provides problem determination, incident recording, issue resolution and escalation for hospital network related services. Assists in implementing new network technologies.

      Qualifications

      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business administration, Math or Electrical Engineering, or other related field required. Three (3) years’ of experience in Information services technology providing computer networking support required. Cisco CCNA certification is a plus. Must possess a solid understanding of networking concepts and of Cisco network hardware. Working knowledge of common networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SNMP required. Hands-on experience implementing and administrating Cisco network devices is a must. Familiarity with switching concepts (HSRP/VRRP). Knowledge of network security standards and best practices. The individual must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills, and be capable of working alone or in a team environment. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.Credential required: Bachelor Degree
