- Assist paving crew with various duties such as shoveling and raking, luting, using a wheelbarrow, and safely directing backing/dumping trucks into the paver.
- Occasionally, paving equipment operates, including power broom, plate compactor, paving machine, shuttle buggy, and vibratory roller.
- Other miscellaneous duties include but are not limited to equipment maintenance and assisting foreperson and crew members as needed.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, inspectors, engineers, and the public permanently.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policy and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
