- Upon training may also include operation of production plant equipment
- Cleanup involving sweeping and shoveling of indoor and outdoor areas will also be required
- May include adjusting and/or operating mechanical equipment
- Operating mobile equipment with training

- Candidate must have good communication skills

- Having at minimum a 4th Class ABSA steam ticket would be a plus
- High school education or equivalent is preferred
- Normal work schedule is 12 hr days, with a 4 day on, 5 day off, 5 day on, 4 day off, 5 day on, 5 day off schedule rotating between day shift and night shift but subject to change
- Opportunity for overtime work is occasionally available
- Employee must be able to lift/exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Lift up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Employee must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform fast-paced repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- Following Safety rules, Food Safety rules, and Environmental rules is essential
- Depending on job performance employee could be transferred to other areas on the facility including housekeeping/cleanup tasks or production plant operations
- Future assignments may include different working hours including rotation shift work to cover 24/7 operations
- All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
- Relocation support is not available for this position.

About the Position
Main job task would be housekeeping and sanitation work in production area of canola crush plant. Upon training job would also entail inspection and cleaning of process equipment such as hammer mills, flaking mill, baghouses, pumps, expellers, and decanters. Work would occur inside and outside in all weather conditions. Other job tasks could include sampling canola seed trucks and grading of canola seed and entering of results into computer systems.
