      Description

      Kaiser – Newark / Utility Operator

      Job Summary: As a member of the Kaiser–Newark team, you will be relied upon to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Our Utility Operators are key positions within our team and they take immense pride in the aluminum that we produce.

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • The ability to work safely and follow company policies and procedures.
      • Adhere to machine specific and personal safety and environmental regulations.
      • Retrieve order specs, documentation and data, conduct order changes and set-ups, operate/maintain to assigned productivity standards and follow job specific procedures.

      Qualifications:

      • Manufacturing experience preferred.
      • Ability to work a rotating schedules and be trained on multiple positions.
      • Comprehend and apply basic reading, math, and computer skills.
      • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to obtain a forklift permit, use a tape measure and/or precision measuring equipment. Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job. Must be able to multi-task and to work with little supervision in a team environment.
      • Physical requirements – lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing approximately 50 pounds and work in a non-climate controlled environment.
      • Overtime may be required.

      Job Type: Full-time Positions/ Starting Hourly Pay: $28.96

      Schedule:

      • 8 hour shift - 7am to 3 pm / 11pm to 7am
      • 12 hour shift - 7am to 7pm / 7pm to 7am and includes rotating shifts.
      • Monday to Friday and Weekends
      • Overtime opportunities and may be required.

      Supplemental Pay Types:

      • Shift Differential
      • COLA – Cost of Living Adjustment
      • Monthly Bonus Pay based on eligibility

      Work Location: Kaiser – Newark; located in the city of Heath.
