      Utility Staff at the Whitewater Center are responsible for providing friendly and responsive service to all guests at Whitewater. Utility Staff greet guests, assist servers, and maintain a positive dining experience. The Utility Staff is an on-site, part-time, hourly position that reports directly to the Front of House Managers.

      Responsibilities

      • Warmly greet guests approaching the restaurant, assign tables, and seat guests accordingly.
      • Communicate with other staff to ensure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
      • Maintain a tidy, clean, and organized restaurant environment.
      • Assist servers with setting tables, food delivery, and clearing tables.
      • Stay up to date on side work tasks and efficiently make use of downtime.
      • Maintain accurate knowledge of operating hours, activities, and products offered outside of Food and Beverage department.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Requirements

      • No prior restaurant experience is needed.
      • Excellent communication skills are a must.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
      • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
      • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.

      Physical Demands

      • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
      • Must be able to bend, lean, stand, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
      • Must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
      • Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time and in all weather and environmental conditions.
      • Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
      • All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • 1-2 years’ experience in a fast paced, casual dining restaurant.

      Overview of Department

      The Food and Beverage Department delivers exceptional, chef-driven culinary service to Whitewater guests. Whitewater is home to diverse and ever-evolving food and beverage outlets, including full-service and fast-casual dining options. In addition, the Food and Beverage Department oversees catering for private events and Adventure Dining.
