  Overview

  NEW YORK, NY (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) – A warm and welcoming family on the Upper West Side is seeking a loving, highly capable, and experienced full-time nanny to care for their two young children: one preschool-aged and one toddler. This is a long-term, live-out position ideal for a professional caregiver who thrives in an active, family-centered environment and is confident in balancing the needs of children at different developmental stages. Candidates should show longevity with previous roles, 4+ years with a single family.

  The family values trustworthiness, attentiveness, and a calm, nurturing presence. Their older child is curious, social, and loves engaging with adults, while their younger one is happy, adaptable, and enjoys exploring their surroundings. The role includes managing daily routines, school drop-off and pick-up, attending activities, preparing healthy meals, children’s laundry, light tidying, and engaging the children in creative and developmentally enriching play.

  The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with occasional flexibility for late evenings or travel. The family’s home is located near Central Park, with easy access to public transportation. A friendly dog is part of the household, so comfort around pets is important. The family also employs additional support staff to ensure a smooth-running home.

  This position offers approximately 50 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate of $60-70/hr gross via payroll, along with paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and possible health insurance stipend. Candidates should be fully vaccinated (including Tdap, influenza, and COVID-19) and ready to join a collaborative household that values open communication and a genuine love for children.

  Qualifications

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
