Title: Senior UX Content Strategist
Client: US Bank
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Hybrid capacity out of Minneapolis, MN
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
ADDITIONAL INFO: This person will be working in Figma, JIRA, and Confluence daily and should be intermediate to senior level experience in working with these systems/portals.
CONTENT EXPERIENCE DESIGN EXPECTATIONS:
• Gather and assess content requirements for new or enhanced products and features.
• Use quantitative and qualitative data and insights to create empathy and ensure content decisions are informed by real user needs and influence human behavior.
• Employ a range of human-centered techniques (such as personas, user flows, content audits and wireframes) to determine and convey content design decisions.
• Write and edit product content to meet business, technical and user needs, resulting in end-to-end digital experiences that are accessible, inclusive and compliant.
• Provide strategic, user-focused and accessible content recommendations and writing support to UX teams, product managers, business lines and other stakeholders.
• Makes recommendations to enhance written content with images, infographics, charts, etc.
• Update content documents, content management system (CMS), design files and/or other documentation tools.
• Apply and evolve existing brand and digital content standards to accommodate new products, features and customer segments.
• Review content with peers and content managers to ensure it accurately represents our verbal identity and writing guidelines.
• Participate in content community of practice (COP) events and efforts for personal development and peer support.
• Formally observe user interviews and usability sessions, as needed and as opportunity allows.
• Analyze and understand end-to-end client experiences to ensure all content is consistent and technically correct across the user journey.
• Validate content in a test environment before it gets released to production.
• Drive, advocate and demonstrate a client-centric approach to work within and outside the Experience Design organization, resulting in consistently simple, clear and enriching user experiences.
• Work in an Agile environment, which includes planning epics, writing sprint stories and participating in regular Agile ceremonies. Content Designers must become adept at using Agile tools like Jira and Confluence. Higher levels will contribute to sizing and scoping work for the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Writes, edits and implements content based on the U.S. Bank content strategy, including voice and tone, and customer / business-centric site goal.
2. Reviews content with peers and senior content strategists to ensure they accurately represent the U.S. Bank content strategies
3. Formally observes user interviews and usability sessions
4. Analyze and understand end-to-end customer experiences to ensure that all content is consistent in voice/tone/construction and technically correct
5. Assist in gathering requirements and assessing content needs of a given project
6. Update content logs, copy documents, CMS and other documentation systems
7. Provide strategic content recommendations and writing/editing support for UX teams, product managers, business lines, and other content stakeholders
8. Drives, advocates and embodies a customer-centric perspective within and outside the UX Design organization, resulting in consistently simple and innovatively enriching experiences for our customers
9. Applies and updates existing content strategies to accommodate new products and campaigns
10. Validates that content is correctly and accurate implemented across all platforms
SPECIFICATIONS:
Understands basic principles of content strategy and information architecture
Passionate about punctuation and grammar
Experience with user-centered design from concept to delivery
Experience working in a cross-channel environment, including desktop/laptop, mobile, devices and brick-and-mortar locations
Knowledge of content strategy and UX best practices
Great problem-solver
A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables
Understands content creation, content inventories and audits, content mapping and modeling, voice and tone guidelines, and governance documentation
Experience with data-collection and analysis
Able to manage ambiguity, working autonomously and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Experience meeting ambitious deadlines and delivering high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around plans and reports
Skilled in communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
Good grasp of quantitative data analysis
SKILLS:
Enterprise CMS content authoring experience a must; AEM/CQ5 experience a plus
Attention to detail; experience creating content for highly regulated industries a plus
Proven ability to create and execute website content plans; migration experience a plus
Solid problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and adapt to changing project needs
Bachelors in a related field of study or 5 years of relevant professional experienc
