Validate and enter all new patient information and existing patient updates. 2. Upon completion, direct activities to the appropriate VAD Specialist for further processing
Attach documents to patient record such as medical documents, orders and purchase orders
Performs quality check on orders to prescription on file
Performs quality check of personal daily entries to ensure that databases and workflow systems are complete and accurate (i.e. Eligibility and CV Link reports)
Resolves or reports problems encountered immediately, including unreadable data, unacceptable data, equipment malfunctions and any other problems to their management team.
Follow all regulatory policies and procedures, privacy and security standards in accordance with Government agencies to include HIPAA requirements.
Understand and adhere to business processes and procedures.
Maintain a culture of accountability in area of responsibility.
Assist with any special projects as directed by manager.

The VAD Data Specialist processes the paperwork and information needed to enter or update information associated with a new or existing patient into the appropriate databases.

Minimum Qualification:
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• One to two years data entry/processing experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to learn database applications
• Typing speed of 45 wpm
• Position requires heavy data entry (up to 95%)
