      We are thrilled to announce multiple openings in our rapidly growing Team in Finance! We now have an increasing demand for intermediate to senior Finance Analysts in Valuation Control Group.

      Product Control is the largest department in Citi's Finance with responsibility for controlling Citi revenues via daily profit and loss reporting, price verification and new trading activity review. The department is organized into product-aligned teams such as credit, FX, equity, money markets, rates, cash, derivatives. Our Poland office is deeply integrated part of the EMEA regional hub, establishing direct contact with the business and finance areas in the regional center.

      The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent global group within Product Control responsible for reviewing and reporting fair value inventory and IPV across all asset classes. VCG is organized along business lines and key stakeholders of the group include Business Heads, Line Product Control, Market Risk, Model Risk, Compliance, Legal Department, Middle Office, Internal Audit, external audit firms and the regulatory bodies in countries impacted by Citi’s footprint.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Perform Independent Price Verification (IPV), calculate and/or verify Valuation Adjustments, and perform Fair Value Levelling
      • Running monthly pricing control using excel and more advanced analytical tools
      • Develop alternate valuation methodologies to value illiquid and esoteric securities ad assets
      • Development of appropriate controls to effectively ensure compliance with Policies and Standards pertaining to valuation control
      • Acting as first point of escalation with regards to any discrepancies and price variance threshold breaches
      • Identifying pricing issues, valuation parameters or instrument types that may require particular attention with critical analysis of the valuation issues involved
      • Control Framework: Enhancement and effective management of the VCG control and governance framework associated with the relevant asset class business

      Key skills and qualifications:

      • 1 - 5 years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting
      • Accounting knowledge; Understanding of accounting for fair-valued instruments would be a great asset, especially for senior positions
      • At least basic knowledge of some of the Finance instruments/products (FX, Bonds, IRS, credit, equity, money markets, rates, cash, derivatives)
      • Strong analytical skills and strong MS Excel knowledge
      • Excellent spoken and written English
      • Strong communication skills (written and oral), able to deal with a range of senior/junior staff globally across the Firm
      • Ability to manage time and work priorities efficiently and effectively

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience (Finance/Accounting degree is an advantage, but not a must)
