      Role Summary:

      · monitor the Department of Vehicle Integration

      · making the project status transparent and provide it for committees and drives

      · coordinating the validation of Vehicle Integration experimental vehicles

      · generating job splits (with development partners: general and Vehicle Integration - demands, testing issues, complexity of analysis and approval)

      · care for complying and validating project budget

      · Decision of requests, needs of escalation and of prioritization required by the Vehicle Integration section

      · synchronizing of information from the Vehicle Integration section with committees

      · knowledge of top-appraisals and top-failures

      · representing the vehicle project in committees (representing the project in Germany)

      · representing the Type tutor on drives and in committees

      · giving the approval recommendation for the Vehicle Integration -parts

      Role Responsibilities:

      Vehicle Integration - responsibly for vehicle project (national and international) in Volkswagen - 100%

      · making statements of vehicle status

      · making relevant information concerning the project available for the Vehicle Integration -participants

      · can provide statements concerning technique and project status

      · harmonizing Vehicle Integration -project status

      · Providing and sharing all relevant information with Type tutor

      · if necessary representing the Type tutor List supporting dutiesList supporting duties

      Qualifications:

      Years of Experience:

      • 6 years of experience in automotive industry

      Education – Required:

      • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

      Education – Desired:

      • Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

      Skills:

      · Proficient in German and English – verbal and written skills

      · Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic

      · Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written

      · Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software (MS-Applications)

      · Integration – linking people, processes or systems

      · Influencing and negotiation skills

      · Resource management

      · Self-starting and self-motivation

      · Ability to think in broader scope

      · Work in cross functional teams

      · Team management

      · Time management

      · Good administrative skills: ability to plan, develop a structure and priorities

      · Evaluation of Technical quality

      · Strong analytical skills (root cause analysis)

      · Monitoring of project-specific product- and vehicle structures as well as testing of new configurations

      · Trace of documentation failure

      · Ability to lead a team of technicians

      · Escalation of critical errors in the direction of IT-Wolfsburg

      Specialized Skills – Required:

      Knowledge in the automotive area, specifically

      · (international) involvement of the project participants for operating the Vehicle Integration -activities

      · escalation competence in vehicle project

      · requesting all information for vehicle development concerning Vehicle Integration

      · Engineering support at building of Production Reference Vehicle Integration and assuring further updates

      · Permanent reporting of the Vehicle Integration, especially to R&D departments

      · Interface to Development Departments, Vehicle Integration Department intern and the other Departments like Production, Quality, Product management, ...

      · Knowledge about test drives

      · Tracking of critical Customer complaints

      · Permanent production checks in close collaboration with the Development Departments

      · Special automotive knowledge

      · Ability to train new local staff

      · Escalation in the direction of Wolfsburg

      Specialized Skills – Desired:

      · Experience in the co-operation with VW development department(s)

      · Experience in the VW development process (PEP)

      · Experience in project management

      · Experience on test drives

      Work Flexibility:

      · Readiness for domestic and international business trips, for example to visit special test drives, suppliers/ VW location in the US, Germany, Mexico or the R&D-Center in Wolfsburg

      · Readiness for professional training in Germany/Mexico (for a longer training period)
