      Job Description


      The Vendor Compliance Specialist is responsible for the coordination, implementation, reporting, support, and on-going maintenance of vendor setup and management as well as overseeing company’s third-party vendor compliance platform. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Conducts research, investigates workflows, business procedures, consults with internal business units and external partners, and recommends changes to ensure that vendor compliance standards and regulations are being met.
      • Communicates with, and provides guidance and assistance to, Regional Vice Presidents, Area Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, and Property Managers about vendor credentialing platform property and user set up, as well as vendor accounts and vendor status changes.
      • Tracks and updates expiration and evaluation changes, daily.
      • Assists with vendor credentialing platform system integration, implementation, and ongoing management, as needed.
      • Oversees implementation of vendor credentialing platform standards to new acquisitions – ensuring all new properties have adequate vendor selections for operational efficiency.
      • Assists in developing policies for the policy manual related to vendor setup and vendor compliance.
      • Responsible for managing Vendor Compliance/Vendor Service help desk ticket queue, daily.
      • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and audits for internal business units, per schedule as well as, as requested.
      • Assists in the onboarding and renewal of high-profile and/or national vendors; works with the responsible party, vendor credentialing platform team, and the vendor/vendor’s insurance agent to reach approval as quickly as possible.
      • Responsible for identifying vendor compliance risks and recommending plans to monitor and address risks related to vendors.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      • Ability to think critically and creatively to maximize operations efficiency

      Desired Qualifications/Skills:

      • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
      • Working knowledge of computerized systems and MS Office Suite
      • Risk Management and audit experience

      Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.

      This job generally operates in a professional office environment, but may also occasionally operate in an outdoor environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, occasionally move about the office, constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, communicate regularly and effectively with others, both written and verbally, and may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

      This position requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

      The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
