Expected pay for this position is $38.75-$45.59/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a salaried position.
OverviewPlease note: H-1B sponsorship is not offered for this opening(s).
Travel is mostly for conferences and trainings (if any). Maybe 1-2/year.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Venture Analyst provides analytical and other diligence efforts in the evaluation of venture investment opportunities. Works with the venture team to research and analyze technology companies in healthcare. Prepares detailed analysis of financial and operational strategies of companies seeking venture funding. Researches emerging technology companies and healthcare sectors in general. Participates in venture team discussion, analysis and decision making. Prepares and maintains internal reports and analyses to support the Venture group and participation in preparation of investment recommendation summaries and portfolio company reports to support the venture team.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
Experience: 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, venture capital, private equity, investment banking or related entrepreneurial.
Other skills/knowledge: Basic knowledge of intellectual property (IP), FDA guidelines, and regulatory landscape for assessing healthcare startups. Strong written and verbal communication skills, an attention to detail, an aptitude for logical thinking, a commitment to professional ethics, and the ability to interact with venture investment staff as well as experience working with sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in analytical skills, spreadsheet development, research and report writing required to address operational, regulatory and commercialization challenges of start-up companies, to gather and interpret financial, regulatory and clinical data, and to prepare clear, concise management reports.
