- Execution and support of marketing efforts within a specific company vertical, including full funnel marketing campaigns.
- Assist marketing director in development and management of marketing plan and strategy
- Manage projects and tasks for all marketing activity within the vertical
- Manage customer and prospect data for the vertical, including targeting criteria, building CRM database, and keeping prospect data up to date
- Write market-specific copy across channel activations including but not limited to industry articles, partner correspondence, sales enablement resources, for a variety audiences and subject matter based on knowledge of market characteristics and competitors, marketing objectives, and buyer-focused marketing strategies using consistent voice in accordance with brand
- Create and deploy marketing campaigns including automation workflows, website landing pages, building target lists, coordinating and scheduling email sends, A/B testing, and measuring marketing efforts
- Manage social media channels for the vertical and work with content team to ensure consistency of social media presence
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis and maintain current market intelligence in Sharepoint library
- Coordinate customer interviews and testimonials with content team
- Stay abreast of product updates, releases, and new offerings for the vertical
- Event/tradeshow support as needed
- Any other marketing duties as needed/requested by management
- Minimal travel required (max 3-4 times per year for in-person meetings or events)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably at a B2B technology company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills. Writing sample submission required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Previous experience using marketing automation tools (we use Pardot), working knowledge of building customer lists, building and executing marketing campaigns
- General knowledge of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
- Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of diplomacy – able to collaborate across marketing team, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Must have a high level of creativity and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” – including learning new skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
Reporting to the vertical’s Marketing Director, the vertical marketing specialist (VMS) will assist in the development and execution of marketing activity for business units in a specific market. The VMS will stay informed about industry markets, trends, technology, and competitors, while helping strategize and implement marketing efforts, communication, and lead generating activities.
Day to day, they will ensure campaigns and projects remain on track and within scope; write, edit, and coordinate content; create and manage customer communication and social media channels; track results, build relationships with sales teams, and otherwise support all marketing strategies.
The VMS must be able to independently manage various projects and juggle multiple priorities while producing on-time, high-quality deliverables in a high-paced, high growth environment.
