      Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

      Position Overview

      Under the general direction of the Vestibular Laboratory Director, the Vestibular Technician conducts and coordinates clinical vestibular tests such as electronystagmography testing, post-urography testing, rotary chair testing, and vestibular-evoked myogenic potential testing in patients who have vestibular problems. Testing involves application of computer-controlled tests, entering data into computer and mailing out the results to referring patients.

      Experience

      • Prior experience working in direct clinical care required or related experience with patient contact required.

      Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

      • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
      • Post-secondary education in a healthcare related field required.
      • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
      • On-the-job training of approximately 2 weeks is provided by the Centre.

      • Basic computer knowledge in windows-based applications.
      • Must be independent and people oriented.
