      Who we are:

      Trusty Vet is ready to hire a Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team of professionals. Successful candidates will be reliable, honest, and team players who are eager to learn.

      We are seeking a self-motivated, people-oriented team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will be:

      Our Vet Tech / Vet Assistant must be versatile and adaptable, performing a wide range of duties to ensure excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:

      • Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, texts, and client interactions
      • Accurate documentation in patient medical records
      • Scheduling appointments appropriately and efficiently
      • Providing client education on preventative care and treatment plans
      • Relaying information effectively to DVMs and teammates
      • Processing payments accurately
      • Safely restraining pets, including those that are anxious or fearful
      • Providing gentle care during exams, procedures, and treatments
      • Filling prescriptions and explaining administration instructions to clients
      • Performing x-rays, administering vaccines, placing catheters, and other technical tasks

      Job Requirements & Qualifications:

      • Proficient in computer software programs, preferably EzyVet and PetDesk
      • Strong talent for educating clients on preventative care
      • Skilled in performing blood draws
      • Ability to safely and properly restrain canines and felines
      • Capable of running in-house laboratory work
      • Document detailed histories of patient visits accurately
      • Fill prescriptions correctly and provide clear client instructions
      • Must be reliable, organized, and self-motivated
      • Ability to stay calm under pressure and problem-solve effectively
      • Strong sense of honesty and integrity
      • Available to open at 7:00am and close at 6:00pm when scheduled
      • Flexible and able to adapt to protocol changes
      • Physically able to lift 30 lbs or more
      • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with a team
      • Comfortable answering phone lines, making appointments, and scheduling appropriately
