  Sunset Animal Hospital is hiring a skilled, Surgical Veterinary Technician to become the next member of our incredible team. Candidates seeking a true work-life balance and the opportunity to fully utilize their skillsets are encouraged to apply!

  Responsibilities for this role will focus approximately 50% on our surgical and procedural caseload, with outpatient and appointment duties to offset our surgical schedule. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork when managing the flow of surgical and dental cases, ensuring patients are prepped on schedule, maintaining anesthesia, and performing a comprehensive range of technical skills with a high level of proficiency and attention to detail.

  Full-time benefits and compensation:

  • Compensation: $18-$26/hour **for each hour worked (based on experience)
  • FT Scheduling: Monday-Saturday
  • Bonus package: $500 - $2,000 based on credentials and experience

  Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of Veterinary Technician experience is required for this role
  • Experience and proficiency with anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Experience and proficiency with venipuncture and IVC placement
  • Experience and proficiency with radiology positioning and technique
