      Responsibilities

      • Take an active role in all aspects of safety by maintaining a proactive safety culture on all jobs
      • Work closely with the Rotating Equipment Reliability Analysts and Engineers assisting in troubleshooting vibration discrepancies, inspecting equipment for repairs/overhauls, and in the root cause analysis process
      • Assisting in the specification, installation and maintenance of API 670 vibration and axial position systems
      • Conducting routine vibration monitoring routes for the purpose of compliance and reliability, developing recommendations for machinery repair based on deficiencies found during analysis
      • Maintaining vibration databases and the on-line vibration surveillance equipment, monitoring online vibration trends and report on concerns
      • Ensuring data obtained is documented and reported out per plant procedures and corporate standards
      • Responding to call out requests for machinery troubleshooting using vibration analysis tools
      • Coordinating and conducting pre and post shutdown/turnaround machine surveillance requirements
      • Assist operations with startup and troubleshooting on rotating equipment
      • Develop and send out summary vibration analysis reports to customers on machinery
      • Communicate equipment repair status through both written and verbal communications
      • Ensuring the plant vibration systems are maintained and optimized
      • Present to various plant audiences on topics related to the vibration program
      • Performing rotating equipment QA/QC during turnaround events
      • Develop and manage lubrication program including lubrication standards, lubrication audits, sample results analysis and lubrication training

      Required Qualifications

      • High School Diploma/GED
      • Must have at least 3 years of Vibration Analysis experience and/or at least 10 years of experience in performing maintenance of rotating equipment in a petrochemical plant, power plant or other process plant
      • Computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
      • Knowledge of ASME/NBIC/API and vibration standards
      • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
      • Knowledge of vibration fundaments, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of various rotating machinery problems
      • Knowledge of vibration analyst category 1-4
      • Knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, compressors and steam turbines

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Meridium/APM experience
      • Experience with equipment deficiency reporting, tracking and resolution
      • Knowledgeable in lubrication standards and/or analysis for rotating equipment
      • Experience with online condition monitoring systems and hardware (BN 3500, System 1, Prognost, etc.)
      • Experience with vibration data collection and analysis (Scout, Ascent, etc.)
      • Cat 1 certification #HPCP
