- Develop and evolve a customer obsessed product roadmap and go-to-market strategy for the software business that is in-line with FICO’s overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the executive team, market-facing leaders and clients to understand FICO’s current capabilities relative to those of existing and emerging competitors while helping to define a multi-year vision for the direction of FICO’s software business.
- Take a thoughtful approach to product portfolio management - thinking through best ways to both grow & harvest existing products as well as leveraging market and customer insights to identify new opportunities for product led disruption and innovation.
- Identify use cases and define strategic plans for each solution, ensuring that they have agreement with sales for targeted software unit sales globally, along with agreement on targeted pricing, to achieve target growth rates and margins for each product.
- Translate market and customer insights into an impactful product road map and product revision to drive growth. Establish mechanisms for bringing along customers who love historical products to embrace and look forward to new and improved offerings.
- Ensure that product roadmaps prioritize an optimized set of features and products to meet targeted growth while reflecting the identification of new capabilities in core and new verticals.
- Assume accountability for product release schedules required to meet established business objectives.
- Leverage the power of emerging technologies to enable breakthrough product innovation.
- Ensure the right tooling is in place to support the processes and product management methodologies to enable tracking, reporting and communication to all stakeholders.
- Partner closely with other functions to ensure alignment aimed at the migration of current off-platform capabilities to the platform over time.
- Support selling efforts by participating in client meetings where needed and by clearly defining current and planned capabilities on the portal inclusive of trial and early adopters for both solutions developed in-house and through partners.
- Oversee and enhance mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all business requirements which have been prioritized and agreed upon.
- Ensure product management standards and best practices are defined and maintained across the organization including a methodology to deliver New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as product enhancements and the adoption of client use cases.
- Create, implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for business product management such as targeted units sold, Minimal Viable Product (MVP), product enhancements, competitive understanding and field enablement.
- Ensure effective internal communications both within the business product management team and across the organization including monthly inputs to financial forecasts.
- Lead budget and resource planning and reporting efforts for the business product management organization, including establishment and pursuit of talent off- shoring strategies.
- Ensure that the skills and capabilities of the business product management organization are aligned with current and emerging business needs.
- Establish clear goals using the OKR model for all major roles within the business product management organization, including talent management and succession plans.
- Proven product management expertise including product ideation, roadmap development and validation, coordination with product development, pricing and NPI on new feature delivery phases.
- Extensive knowledge of the existing (e.g., banking, insurance, telco) and emerging industry domains and client business problems which the current product capabilities address.
- Strong business acumen including financial modeling, P&L management, and revenue recognition rules for software solutions.
- Proven ability to identify and, based upon ROI modeling, prioritize new market opportunities which leverage organizational capabilities, either involving feature extensions or new solution design.
- Proven understanding of tooling required to support the product management lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise-level platform and platform-related services including microservices as well as APIs.
- Experience in developing AI solutions, coupled with a working knowledge of rules engines, optimization and machine learning principles and tools.
- High-level understanding of agile and waterfall software development methodologies coupled with a working knowledge of web services and standards.
- A highly collaborative style – partners effectively with technical and non-technical teams to align goals, drive organizational change, negotiate among competing objectives, resolve issues and achieve consensus.
- Proven ability to effectively attract, deploy, develop and engage talent.
- Executive-level presentation skills leveraging data, recommendations and facilitated discussion surrounding opportunities, capabilities, risks and ROI.
- BS degree in business, marketing or software engineering required with an MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

- The targeted base pay range for this role is: $275,000 to $350,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.

The Opportunity
“As the Vice President and Head of Software Product Management you will be responsible for overseeing the definition and execution of the platform and solution strategy, informed by collaborative relationships with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Corporate Strategy, and Finance, as well as direct contact with clients. You will lead all product management teams to identify detailed business requirements and build development roadmaps designed to ensure the market competitiveness of existing and new use cases delivered on the FICO platform as well as the creation of migration strategies and timelines to move off-platform solutions to the platform over time.” – Chief Product and Technology Officer - Vice President
