      The Vice President is responsible for the management of the program under the leadership and guidance of the Senior Vice President of Programing. Supervises the Director of the Clinical Department, Director of the Care Management Department and the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. and all activities, functions of the clinical, care management and nursing programs; provides all reports; and maintains a respectful and supportive workplace environment. This position will comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Responsible for leadership and supervision of staff including coordinating and/or conducting staff training and development, hiring and selection of staff, performance evaluation, directing and assigning work, managing work environments, approving time cards and time off requests, and making recommendations for other personnel actions. Responsible for on call coverage.
      • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence.
      • Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.
      • Responsible to manage and reduce risk in area(s) of responsibility and to report it if it is outside of area(s) of responsibility or seek assistance when needed to resolve the matter. Assures health and safety risks are controlled or removed, and a safe and therapeutic environment exists.
      • Demonstrate consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications and system’s; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goals.
      • Provides collaborative efforts with agency departments. Participates and initiates program development via grants and other funding stream options. Represents the program and/or Agency in marketing efforts as needed and/or assigned.
      • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; promotes and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
      • Remains up to date with all state or federal updates with regard to Behavioral Health services within New York State and assuring practice aligns with regulations.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Job Requirements

      • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or other relevant behavioral science required.
      • LCSW Required.
      • 5 years of progressive employment experience with a social services or childcare agency organization preferred.
      • Must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience. Supervisory experience in residential and foster board care programs preferred.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Must have a current, valid driver’s license per Agency guidelines. Travel required.
